Roma Udinese Mourinhos Men Extend Winning Run To 5

Roma – Udinese: Mourinho's men extend winning run to 5

Roma continued their resurgence under Jose Mourinho with a 1-0 home win over Udinese in Serie A on Thursday.

Tammy Abraham's first-half goal was enough to secure all three points for the Giallorossi, who moved up to fifth in the table, just three points behind local rivals Lazio.

Roma started the match brightly and took the lead in the 15th minute when Abraham headed home from close range after a cross from Nicolo Zaniolo.

Udinese had a few chances to equalize, but they were unable to find a way past Rui Patricio in the Roma goal.

The win was Roma's fifth in a row in all competitions and extended their unbeaten run to seven games.

Mourinho was pleased with his team's performance, saying: "We played well, we controlled the game, and we created chances. We deserved to win.">

Udinese coach Luca Gotti was disappointed with the result, but he praised his team's effort.

"We played a good game, but we were unlucky not to get a point," said Gotti. "We had some good chances, but we couldn't take them.

Roma will now turn their attention to next week's Europa Conference League semi-final first leg against Leicester City.
