Arizona Diamondbacks Fall to Colorado Rockies

The Arizona Diamondbacks suffered a tough loss on Tuesday, falling to the Colorado Rockies 2-8 at Coors Field. The Rockies took an early lead and never looked back, as the Diamondbacks struggled to generate offense throughout the game.

The Rockies jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first inning on a two-run homer by C.J. Cron. They added another run in the second inning on a solo homer by Ryan McMahon, and then chased Diamondbacks starter Madison Bumgarner from the game with a four-run third inning.

The Diamondbacks finally got on the board in the fourth inning on a solo homer by Ketel Marte, but the Rockies answered back with a run of their own in the fifth inning on a sacrifice fly by Elias Díaz.

Diamondbacks' Offense Struggles

The Diamondbacks' offense was held in check by Rockies starter Kyle Freeland, who allowed just one run on four hits over six innings of work. The Diamondbacks had just five hits in the game, and they struck out 10 times.

The Diamondbacks have now lost four of their last five games, and they are 14-20 on the season. The Rockies, on the other hand, have won four of their last five games, and they are 19-17 on the season.
